Well, I went to VASE last weekend, the Visual Art Scholastic Event.
I participated last year.. but I didn't get anything. :/
So, I wasn't excepting much.
BUT. Lo-and-behold, I got gold medals for BOTH of my pieces.
AND, I was the only one in my class who got perfect scores for both.
I was soo happy. I felt validated.
But then again, who wouldn't after having their artwork praised?
The judges I had were very nice, and seemed genuinely interested in the thought and work behind my pieces.
But enough of me bragging. XD
Anime Matsuri!!
Its being held at the Plaza Hotel in Houston, and my Digital Art club (even though I don't do much digital work;;;; ) has a booth this year!! : D
I will be there along with the kids from my school selling my own art!
So, if anyone reads this who is going, come see me!
I'm going to be wearing one of Chi's outfits from Chobits. :3
I'll see if I can get some pictures of it up before long.
I still need a wig and ears, but I should be able to buy them soon now that I have a job.
We will be there two days, Friday and Saturday, which is the 18th and 19th.
I hope to see some people there!!
This will be my first- and hopefully not last- con, soooo...

Loooots of art will be posted in a few weeks.
Portfolios are due in 5 weeks, and I have to have all 36 pieces for it finished.
